Whiskey X Heidi
Both Whiskey and Heidi come from many generations of independent and hard working bird dogs that are highly cooperative and we expect that natural ability from this pairing. Along with having a commanding presence in the field and water, both Whiskey and Heidi are family oriented to round out the whole package and create a truly versatile hunting litter. Both of these dogs come from many generations of wild bird dogs who have also had success in multiple testing venues as this pedigree is stacked with Versatile Champions, UT Prize 1’s, Master Hunters, and Dual Champions leaving no doubt the level of talent in this pedigree. VC Friedelsheim's Whiskey River Script MH

VC Friedelsheim’s Whiskey River Script (Whiskey) MH comes from a strong line of wild bird dogs and he has proven himself to be just as sensational. Whiskey accomplished some incredible accolades in NAVHDA at an extremely young age with a first time owner/handler. When it’s time to hit the field, Whiskey is a complete workhorse. He has been hunted throughout the east coast and Midwest on a variety of upland and waterfowl species: quail, woodcock, pheasant, prairie chicken, all 4 species of geese ( Canada, Snow, Speckle-belly and Blue) as well as Tundra Swans. Whiskey has been used to track deer and bear as well as retrieve furred game. He truly is the definition of a versatile hunting dog! Alongside all these amazing accomplishments, Whiskey has a temperament to die for; calm in the house, great around other dogs and soaks up the love and attention from the grandkids. Whiskey was part of a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder’s Award litter with several VC and UT Prize 1, Dual Champions, Master Hunters rounding out his pedigree. We are so excited about what the infusion of the Friedelshiem and Deadwood lines will bring to this next generation of Surefire offspring!

SUREFIRE'S RIPPLE EFFECT NAI

We had a very specific target when we were choosing the pairing between Heidi’s parents Gibbs and Elsa: a hard charging, wow you at every turn, ride the line of chaos wild bird dog with the perfect level of ‘sleep with you on the couch’ sprinkled in. Anyone that has ever met Heidi will tell you that she encompasses all of that vision. Heidi is a powerhouse in the hunting field. As a very young dog her first hunting season, she seemlessly transitioned from hunting sharptails and huns in Montana to South Dakota pheasant and desert quail in New Mexico and everything in between. Heidi is breathtaking to watch in a field. Swift and nimble is how she sets about her field search and her points are always hard hitting and intense. Complement all of her desire and go with incredible cooperation makes watching her back other dogs with a gritty style having no formal introduction to the task is breathtaking. Heidi has been preparing beautifully for her Utility test but timing for this breeding dictated a change of plans so she will run her UT test in 2026. Heidi’s pedigree is stacked with 17 Versatile Champions as well as 10 ancestors with UT Prize 1’s, Master Hunters, and Dual Champions accolades.
