Cooper x Elsa
2 Females
This might have been a small litter in numbers but these two young ladies are mighty. A moment etched into our memories will be when they were 2 days old, Kaytlyn was sitting in the whelping box with the girls and Elsa. I heard her declare over ‘Betty and Wilma,’ as their names were at the time, “there are only two of you in the whole world and you are very precious to me!” A truer statement could not have been spoken. These two girls are going to do amazing things! Both of these dogs come from many generations of independent and hard working bird dogs that are highly cooperative and we expect that natural ability from this pairing. This pedigree is stacked with Versatile Champions, UT Prize 1’s, Master Hunters, and Dual Champions leaving no doubt the level of talent in this pedigree. Along with having a commanding presence in the field and water, both Cooper and Elsa are family oriented to round out the whole package and create a truly versatile hunting litter.

INTL CH VC OUTLANDERS GIT'R DONE MH
When you consider the phrase “Versatility Defined,” Intl Ch VC Outlanders Git’ R Done MH “Cooper” truly is a dog that exemplifies that statement to the fullest. Along with being an incredibly talented bird finder, Cooper was a snappy, stylish dog in the field with medium range. Each season he would hunt 5-6 different states on blue grouse, sage grouse, prairie and colombian (mountain) sharptail grouse, lesser and greater prairie chickens, scaled quail, bobwhite quail, huns, pheasants and ducks. It was quite common for Cooper to account for most of the bird finds and retrieves on the many fields he would see in a season. The talent of this dog on wild birds ranged from holding point on 40 grouse at 300 yards to proving at young age to be adept at handling running scaled quail. Not only was he a phenomenal upland dog, he also spent many 20 degree January days in a Colorado duck blind retrieving ducks from an icy river and was used as a retriever on goose hunts also.
With a pedigree that includes four NAVHDA Versatile Champions, five AKC Master Hunters and six NAVHDA Utility Prize 1 dogs in TWO generations, it is really no surprise the success in the litter that produced Cooper. Cooper, along with his littermates, recieved a Natural Ability breeder’s award with 8 total littermates averaging scores of 111.3 points. Half of the litter went on to test in the NAVHDA Utility test resulting in 4 prize 1’s and 1 prize 3 thus qualifying the litter for a NAVHDA Utility breeder’s award. As a testament to his cooperation he passed his Master Hunter at the age of 23 months with the last leg handled by a friend who had had never seen a Master Hunter test, let alone run a dog in a test. Cooper earned maximum scores in both his NAVHDA Utility test and Invitational at a young age. As a stud dog, Cooper also produced a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeders Award litter.
Cooper offers an incredible genetic package and has more than proven himself as a wild bird dog. That alone makes him a fantastic complement to any breeding program. By in large one of the overriding attributes that has solidified to us that this is the right stud for our next litter is Cooper’s temperament, which can be described with one word, biddable. Cooper was an affectionate house dog with a comical personality and overall calm demeanor. He was great around children and other animals.

VC OUTLANDERS NOBLE REFLECTION
VC Outlanders Noble Reflection (Elsa) is a joy to hunt behind. She has an innate ability to adapt to different cover and hunt effectively in a variety of terrains. From the mountains of Colorado hunting blue grouse to the prairies of South Dakota chasing pheasants, she is in her element. Elsa is a methodical and focused hunter that has been a pleasure to train. Her cooperation really showed while training for the NAVHDA Invitational as she learned the tasks quickly and with ease. Elsa loves to back! She will honor with as much intensity and focus as she points regardless of her distance from the other dog in the field. She is consistently the same dog day in and day out, on every bird contact. Her honesty lends to her ability to be handled by anybody, including our 6 year old daughter. She has begun taking Elsa to obedience, showmanship and agility training sessions to prepare for 4-H and AKC competition. Elsa received a max score of 200 at the 2019 NAVHDA Invitational. She has 4 legs of her Master Hunter completed and will continue working on this title in the spring of 2020.
